Does Daniel have a fundemental grasp on the concept of the ground attack?

Thought about this after leaving CW last night. Does this guy truly have an understanding of what it takes to make a running game an effective and powerfull weapon in an offence? Think about this for a moment: Who did Daniel have as a RB from his first gig as an OC? Mike Pringle, a once in a lifetime running back. Now we see him continually trying to copy the 'Pringle' ground game by his choices in play design, player personel evaluation, and game calling. IMO he has a massive fundemental flaw in how he approaches this entire aspect of the game. - Player evaluation - Daniel seems to think that it's a simple thing to re-fabricate a Pringle style ground game. Problem is, Pringle was a once in a 3 generation back. As a GM his recruitment and evaluation of quality RB's has been abysmal. - Our RB's tend to get the ball handed off to them deeper than most teams, usually at the 8 yd... How sick is Jesse Lumsden?

Did any of you watch the early game? Once again, we witnessed the Jesse Lumsden show. 189 yards and 2 TD's - all rushing. That is INSANE. And he's a non-import to boot. It's seems like this guy always has these HUGE games in him or is virtually non-existent ... there is no middle ground. And how about Hamilton in general? After looking like they might go 0 - 18 this season, I can actually see them making the playoffs! __________________ It's a toss up between me and Griswold for the Esk fan that is most hated by Rider nation. I think I still have a leg up, however.

Thank you Jason Tucker. Campbell obviously makes a big difference. Keith Williams is a good ball player, Augie Barranechia is not (at least not so far) Jordan Younger is doing a fine imitation of Omar Morgan. The running game is totally non existent. Amazing what happens when a team insists on playing man defense and you actually go deep all game long. Only been calling for that for 2 1/2 years. Nice play by Shabbaz to crush Burris on that one int in the 1st half. Can the CFL please explain what is reviewable and what is not? It seems to change every week. Davis had a really big game.

21-7 Eskimos at the half. love the play calling.....running more, throwing deep....receivers playing well, and Ray being aggressive is nice to see. O-line is giving him time, Armstrong is a keeper, move him to tackle when Comiskey comes back. D-line looks much better, Jim Davis is a beast...taking advantage of Perry getting double-teamed every snap....hopefully they don't get tired at the end of the game, but they are resting Davis by using a 3 front, which I like, and Clutts is at both DT and LB, he is doing well at both. Barrenechea is invisible again, and the secondary has miscommunications again. I hope they keep this going, bring it home boys! __________________ .: EGO sum Numerus, audite mihi rudo :. Enough of the talk. DM: You said we would see a different type of offense than we've seen over the past 2 season. Its been one game into this season and we are seeing the same pattern - again. Fans are restless and edgy. Its time to put up or shut up. Live up to those promises you spouted off in the off season. Players. This is the game you want to tighten your chinstraps, pull up your socks and dish out a severe ass kicking. Take no prisoners.. Beat the living snot out of the Stamps. Play like this is your last game ever. This is pure hatred. We hate them. They hate us. Alot of you players do not know the rivalry between us and them. The games are one of the most intense in football, no matter of what league. This is not a game you play "half assed" for. Go Balls out. This maybe only the 2nd game of the season, but its the provincial rivals and the hate runs deep. Send them a message for Labour Day : We will...
